In the last edition of Rock in Rio, held in 2017, the City of Rock received a great innovation: The Rock District! This true neighborhood within the festival is back in 2019's edition, and, of course, full of attractions, which were presented today at a press conference held at the City of Arts, in Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to a Walk of Fame, inspired by the Hollywood mold, and a Wall of Fame, with the engraving of the hands of great artists such as Shawn Mendes, Ivete Sangalo, Ed Sheeran, Herbert Vianna, and Dinho Ouro Preto, in this edition the Rock District will be invaded by a true dance spectacle.

Interventions by the Ballet Company Nós da Dança - composed of 18 dancers - will bring re-readings of emblematic video clips, with light and fun choreographies developed by Regina Sauer. It will be impossible not to get infected with the dances and costumes of the interpretations of Beat It (Michael Jackson), Single Ladies (Beyoncé), Bad Romance (Lady Gaga) and more.

The attractions do not stop there. The Rock District also has a super stage where great national and international artists will perform. Some musicians will present another side of their careers, singing a repertoire that is not part of their usual tours. A good example is the show of Rogério Flausino and Sideral, who will sing classics of Cazuza. The Kisser Clan is the side project of Sepultura's guitarist Andreas Kisser.

The Rock Street Band, with all its energy that was a great hit in the 2017 edition, will come back on stage in all the days of the festival to sing classics of bands that have performed in the previous editions of Rock in Rio, in addition to a tribute to Queen, Raul Seixas, and Led Zeppelin. Other confirmed names include: Dinho Ouro Preto, Sioux 66, Deia Cassali, Thiago Fragoso, Rollando Stones, Notórios, Move Over, and Tamo aí na atividade – a tribute to Charlie Brown Jr with the members Marcão, Pinguim, and Heitor.

Finally, there will also be music off-stage. The performative trio of violinists Tritony, formed only by women, shall make a real spectacle throughout the Rock District, bringing an innovative and creative sound to the public, who will also be surprised by the Voice In Band, who uses only their voices as instruments to interpret pop classics with their unique musical arrangements.

See you in the Rock District on September 27, 28, and 29 and on October 3, 4, 5, and 6. Guarantee you ticket on April 11!
