People from the Brazilian fan clubs who were at Rock in Rio will have a space here on the blog to tell about the exciting experience of seeing their idols so closely.
To begin, the girls from Deathbat Brasil tell us about the Avenged Sevenfold concert, which was performed on September 22.
"The depression post Rock in Rio remains here. After experience some amazing moments and watch our beloved band Avenged Sevenfold in the main stage of the biggest music festival in the country, we just can't forget it.
Lorraine: I didn't expect to get in the City of Rock and see so many people with a A7X shirt on. During all the 12 songs, the crowd didn't stop to sing along, which certainly gave a very special touch to the concert. We could see how the crowd was thrilled even in songs from the new album, such as Shepherd of Fire and Hail to The King. Arin was spectacular on the drums. I already knew that Rev would sing in most songs, even so it wasn't enough to prevent me to cry on Critical Acclaim and Fiction. But the music that most impressed me was Beast and the Harlot. I never thought that I would listen to this song live in a concert. For me it was a dream coming true. I'm sure that this was one of the best concerts that Avenged Sevenfold have done. Jimmy's dream (former drummer) was to play on this festival, and I'm sure that he is very proud of this achievement of the band.
Brooke: There were a lot of Iron Maiden's fans around me, so I was wondering that people wouldn't be so excited for the A7X concert. But I was wrong, I could see many fans from other bands remaining in their seats facing the stage to watch Avenged Sevenfold. I talked with many people that didn't know the band, but I never thought that I would find so many Avenged fans in one place. And I could realize it at the exact moment of the first few seconds of Shepherd of Fire. The energy of the crowd was even higher in Critical Acclaim. From that point on, I knew that the show would be epic. The songs were sung in a choir, and the climax of the night was one of the songs that is not one of my favorites, Nightmare. I felt that this song was the most sung, the voice of the crowd seemed louder than the rest of the concert. I also felt this in Unholy Confessions, but this is one of my favorite songs, so it was impossible to not being amazing.
With the end of the Rock in Rio, it was time to go back to home and return the "regular" activities of Deathbat Brasil. After about 9 months of countdown, special articles and a lot of anxiousness for the Rock in Rio, everything came to an end, as well as all the good things. Avenged Sevenfold is presenting their tour Hail to the King, which still will be played on United States, Europe, United Kingdom, and Australia. The band already has plans to returns to Brazil in the first half of 2014, and we, from Deathbat Brasil, will keep our readers informed about everything about the band on Brazilian soil or anywhere else in the world. M. Shadows made it clear several times about how much he was realizing a dream playing at Rock in Rio, as well as the rest of the band. Would we see then again in a future edition of Rock in Rio? If this happens, I'm sure that all fans of Avenged Sevenfold will love to have this experience again, and so are we.
Our team met up with Matt Shadows, Valary DiBenedetto (Matt's wife), Larry Jacobson (the band's manager) and the lovely band roadies who always are really kind with the fans. And we do know that they love Brazil, and for then, it will always be a pleasure to be here.
Thank you very much to all of ours readers, for following us and talking to us. You don't know how amazing it is to have your involvement for making our website become even better.
