Less than 10 months to Rock in Rio 2019, the Sunset Stage line-up is already forming, and now has 4 headliners. The first big names confirmed for the stage were singer Seal, who performs on the first day of the festival, and the band Slayer, who closes the stage on the Metal Day. Headliners are now joined by one of today's greatest singers, Jessie J (September 29), and Charlie Puth (October 5), the hit-maker who hits billions of YouTube views.
Since 2008, the year of its birth, the Sunset Stage is one of the festival's great stars. It has already hosted incredible musical meetings, new talents, giant names of the national and international music, and more. Today, the stage collects priceless moments, such as Milton Nascimento's show with Esperanza Spalding (2011); the presentation of Sepultura with Zé Ramalho (2013); the Brazilian-Lisbon rock interchange between the Titãs and the band Xutos & Pontapés (2011); The Offspring mind blowing show in 2013; the incredible blend of Steve Vai's enraged guitar with Camerata Florianópolis (2015); the sound of the band Faith No More (2015); the true spectacle of the metallers Alice Cooper and Arthur Brown, in the last Brazilian edition of the festival, and many more.
In 2019, Sunset Stage promises to be once again the protagonist of unforgettable experiences. In addition to the announced headliners, the Metal Day line-up on Sunset Stage is also almost complete, featuring no less than two members of "The Big Four" (name given to the group of the world's 4 biggest thrash metal bands ), which are Slayer and Anthrax, plus: Torture Squad & Claustrophobia feat. Chuck Billy (Testament) and Nervosa + guest.
We can´t wait for Rock in Rio 2019!
