Linkin Park Is Confirmed To Play at Rock in Rio USA!

The festival welcomes bands that put on a good show

One of the first acts announced on the Rock in Rio USA line-up is Linkin Park. They are one of the most successful rock bands of this era, having sold more than 50 million records worldwide. But their record sales aren’t the reason why we asked them to play at Rock in Rio. When Linkin Park comes to the stage, they bring an avalanche of sound. And we like bands that put on a good show.

Linkin Park played Rock in Rio three times in Lisbon: 2008, 2012 and 2014. And since the festival is always full of surprises, this year they brought special guest Steve Aoki onstage to perform “A Light That Never Comes,” the song they recorded together on Recharged. Aoki’s appearance was icing on the cake of an already incredible show, sure to be remembered by everyone who was there. The band even tossed out advanced copies of “Wastelands,” a single off their then-unreleased album The Hunting Party.

Linkin Park will be playing at the US premiere of Rock in Rio in Las Vegas, guaranteeing that the festival will be arriving with a blast of energy. Festival dates for 2015 are May 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th.
